Classical music for your journey
Episode m001dfwg, broadcast at Tuesday 1st November 2022, 7:00pm.
“From a wiggling tarantella to a ballet on the Eiffel Tower, join the dance in this specially curated In Tune Mixtape, which invites you on a musical adventure, making music with a typewriter with Leroy Anderson, flying to the Moon with guitarist Wes Montgomery and visiting a Portuguese house with fado icon Amália Rodrigues. Whether in solo with Fanny Mendelssohn, trio with Elisabeth Jacquet de La Guerre, or quintet with Louise Farrenc, everyone is welcome in this eclectic journey, which includes a love declaration from "The Merry Widow" sung by Jonas Kauffmann and Rachel Willis-Sørensen, and an ode to the serene sound of the Arabic ney flute through the voice of soprano Fatma Said. Producer: Julien Rosa”
