“The third movement of Charles Ives’ Symphony No. 1 begins today’s In Tune Mixtape, followed by music from Howard Shore’s score for The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring. The Allegretto of Sir Malcolm Arnold’s Four Scottish Dances and Philip Glass’s Etude No. 2 lead into Camille Saint-Saens’ Romance for Horn and Orchestra. Melody, the third of Edvard Grieg’s Lyric Pieces Book Four leads into ‘Blue Nun’, the fourth movement of Tan Dun’s Eight Memories in Watercolour. The mixtape draws to a conclusion with the fourth movement Finale of Gustav Holst’s Symphony in F Major, ‘The Cotswolds’.”
