Take 30 minutes out with a relaxing classical mix
Episode m001hnt8, broadcast at Friday 10th February 2023, 7:00pm.
“After a ballet overture from W. A. Mozart's Les Petits Riens, we listen to 'June', part of Fanny Mendelssohn's The Year, and to a musical tableau from Reynaldo Hahn's operetta Ô mon bel inconnu. Follows a song by Benjamin Britten, 'Tell Me the Truth About Love' (from 4 Cabaret Songs), and one of Franz Lizst's studies inspired by Paganini. After an arranged version for double bass and chamber orchestra of 'Vedrò con mio diletto', from Antonio Vivaldi's 1724 opera Giustino, we end the mixtape with French music from the late 19th century: 'Volière' (Aviary) from Camille Saint-Saëns's The Carnival of Animals, and the 'March of the Princesses' from Jules Massenet's suite Cendrillon. Producer: Julien Rosa”
