Classical music for focus or relaxation
Episode m0020px1, broadcast at Thursday 11th July 2024, 7:00pm.
“Take time out with a 30-minute soundscape of classical favourites including Beethoven's Pathétique Piano Sonata and the Adagietto from Mahler's Fifth Symphony. There's also two different operatic incarnations of the Orpheus legend: the Toccata from Monteverdi's L'Orfeo and Eurydice's Couplet from Offenbach's Orpheus in the Underworld sung by the soprano June Bronhill. We also enjoy a Jazz Band in a Parisian Cabaret by Valerie Coleman, Purcell's Curtain Music from Timon of Athens and Ibert's Morning on the Water for harp. Producer: Ian Wallington”
