“Take time out with a beautiful mix of uplifting classical music - from the joyful Dam Busters March to a poignant reworking of Nimrod from Elgar's Enigma Variations. In between, we hear inspiring works from composers Ottorino Respighi, Rebecca Clarke and Joseph Bologne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges. The second part of tonight's mixtape takes a meditative turn, with tender music by Ralph Vaughan Williams performed by Bryn Terfel, Peter Gregson's reinterpretation of a famous cello suite by JS Bach, and an austerely beautiful choral work by the late John Tavener.
