“Take time out with a 30-minute soundscape of classical music, today celebrating the legacy of the conductor Charles Mackerras. We start with Eric Coates' sleepy lagoon - valse serenade, followed by two Gavottes by Rameau, 'Fair Moon, to thee I Sing' from Sullivan's H.M.S. Pinafore and the 2nd movement of John Field's 2nd piano concerto. Danielle de Niese sings Mozart's beautiful Laudate Dominum followed by Elgar's Dream children.
